Robert Newhouse is head of Electronic Trading Product Development within Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Banking (“CIB”) Markets division. In that role, Robert leads the design, building, and implementation of electronic trading systems across multiple asset classes including Equities, Foreign Exchange, Rates, and Credit.
Before leading Electronic Trading Product Development, Robert served as head of the Quantitative Execution Desk (QED) within Wells Fargo Securities, providing low latency equity execution solutions to quantitative hedge funds and other customers with exacting technical needs.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Robert held senior leadership positions at multiple venture-funded startups including Tradespeed, Ballista ATS, and Victor Technologies. Robert began his initial foray into electronic trading as an early employee at Island ECN, a leader in the transition of Equities into an electronically traded asset class.
Robert lives in New York City with his wife and two children, and is based in the Hudson Yards Wells Fargo office.
